My Workout Plan for Everyone In Singapore – Last April I did a blog post about the best and effective workout routine. I posted a photo of my progress on Instagram which resulted in an astounding amount of messages from ladies from all over the world. Many were asking which LWR videos did I follow. A couple of ladies mentioned that they have the same body type as me and would be most grateful if I could share my diet and exercise routine with them and I think this will be a perfect workout plan which will suit every Singapore girl.
I decided that writing a new post would be the most effective way to reach out to more ladies who have a body shape similar to mine.
What is the best Workout for you? – First of all I understand Lucy’s fitness programs are for 7 days however I am unable to commit the full 7 days because of time constraints and my body needed time to recuperate; I get soreness and aches after some exercises and need the rest before I start again. I opted for a 3 day 30mins workout as an alternative, always choose a routine that is easy to commit to, this would increase the chances of actually following thru and not giving up halfway.
Quick basic Warm up exercises – Before following Lucy’s exercise videos I make it a point to do a 5 to 10 minutes sprint on the treadmill. As the months go by I gradually increase the speed to challenge myself. This is kind of my warm-up exercise a way to get my heart pumping before moving on to Lucy’s work out plan.
Best workouts on YouTube – These are the first 2 workouts that I started out with on Youtube 5 – Minute Standing Ab Workout & Get Rid of Bingo Wings- tone and sculpt your arms. I really hated my flabby arms and after a months’ worth of effort, combining both these exercises I began seeing results. I have seen a couple of comments on Facebook about Lucy’s videos not working for them, They also stated that they did the exercise only for a couple of minutes and then totally stopped. There are no quick fixes for a fit and healthy body; you have to diligently put in the time, effort and heart into it.
Highly affordable exercise programme – When I started to find the exercise was getting too easy, I knew that it was time to move on to other videos, unsure which to start with I decided to purchase an exercise programme from Lucy’s website, at SGD$18.45 it is cheaper than a gym membership, best of all her exercise routines are effective and you can workout right in the comfort of your home. All you need is a mirror to ensure that you are positioning yourself correctly.
The Best Workout for an Apple-shaped Body – I bought the apple shaped program first because I had an issue with my belly area and felt that it would be beneficial because it did focus on losing inches in your waistline, Lo and behold 2 months down the road I had a much flatter upper belly area, my lower body is still work in progress though.
Best Pear Shaped Workout Routine– The second programme I purchase is the pear shaped. This work out series focuses on hips and thighs in another area I would definitely love to lose some inches at. After 2 weeks of exercise, I felt my tights getting rock hard an getting firmer.
My Favourite workout from LWR Fitness – I deeply enjoy her HIIT workouts and the 7-Minute Body Plan: Quick workouts & simple recipes for real results in 7 days, you can make a choice of beginner or advanced moves and they aren’t too complicated to follow, I also like the fact that she gives a reminder on positioning your body correctly and to tuck in your tummy, It is like having a personal trainer with you doing real-time workouts, sure beats cracking your head trying to figure out exercise diagrams any day!
My Personalised Meal and Diet Plan – Diet-wise, I mostly stick to chicken breast or salmon and some fruits for lunch after my exercises on weekdays at work, I try my best to eat healthier and still trying to incorporate Lucy’s diet plan into my lifestyle, Being Asian I do have a tendency to like rice and noodles, It is all about portioning food. I tend to over-prepare so that is a work in progress. Being a foodie makes dieting hard too but limiting the not so healthy foods is the way to go for now.
I would like to end off by saying you are your greatest challenge, with the right attitude we can achieve what we desire, gradual weight loss and toning is the way to go, never give up and when laziness or sluggish days came by always push yourself to commit to your workout routine, a well worth uphill battle. Think of the view on top!
