Eveclair I have a loved one who has a heart condition and recently had trouble sleeping due to the cause of breathlessness when lying flat on the bed. Stacking a bunch of pillows or sitting up to sleep caused, even more, discomfort and was not a good solution to his sleep problems.

A bed wedge is actually a piece of foam in an elevated position it comes in different heights, shapes, and sizes. Some are adjustable and there are those that even come with a massage machine embedded within the foam. Some are made for babies as safe sleep products, position the babes in an upright position in the crib so the child may breathe better and aids in digestion.
Bed wedges can be purchased from stores selling rehab health items and equipment if you are interested in the baby ones they can be purchased at toys r us.
