Is newer always better, Not exactly when it came to the MKUP Super Hyaluronic Acid Real Complexion Cream SPF 30 for me.
I am a huge fan of MKUP products as the product works well with my sensitive skin. I wrote about the Real Complexion Cream about 4 years ago and still use it daily. I do not really like to use foundation because it stains clothes and I am usually in a rush to head out and prefer to speed up the makeup application or keep it to a minimum, it sometimes clogs the pores of my skin as well causing breakouts. Although the cream does not do all that the wacky ads from Taiwan say it is efficient enough and moisturises my face well.
Is the MKUP Super Hyaluronic Acid Real Complexion Cream SPF 30 a good sunblock- As I work on the sunnier side of the island of Singapore where the 9am sun is like 12pm sun needless to say it make me tanned easily? While using the cream it does help a little but not significantly, perhaps reapplication has to be done frequently as we have to factor in perspiration and if the cream dries out over several hours.
The texture of the MKUP Super Hyaluronic Acid Real Complexion Cream compared to the Real Complexion Cream – The new cream comes in a dark beige colour much different from the white colour of the real complexion cream. I do not like the texture of the cream as much because it is much thicker and sticky. In a way somewhat harder to blend into your skin. A small amount goes a long way, using too much gives off the ghostly white colour. It also felt a little cakey on my face and I did not like the hassle of trying to blend the cream to my face, I even tried using a beauty blender but I found using my fingers much quicker in the application.
The packaging is more or less the same as the first edition of consisting of a nice holographic box and a jar with a pump. I like the pump which makes the cream ooze out without a hitch. I also like the fact that no cream is wasted as I opened a bottle which I finished using and was surprised to find it completely empty. I suggest buying the smaller 10ml tube edition if you are testing out the cream as it would be a waste if the cream were not suitable for you, I do regret purchasing the 30ml version but will try my best to finish it.
I haven't heard of the brand MKUP before, but the cream sounds like it would make a nice primer. It's a shame though that they changed the color & texture & made it more difficult to use.
It is a brand from Taiwan, yes it works well as a primer
For having a high SPF, it's a shame it doesn't last that long. It definitely gave you a nice shine after application, looks moisturizing. Great post! xx
I haven't heard of mkup before but I love the packaging. I'd say when it cones to sunscreens keep exploring for better.. is what I do. Thanks for sharing xx
