Sustainable Art for Your Home Sunny Side SG

framed photos on shelf

The Lunar New Year is upon us, and spring-cleaning is on the agenda, after decluttering and sorting out items for donations, I have room to redecorate my home.

The Easiest Way to Display Art or Photos –

I have always adored the idea of having works of art to brighten up my home due to the amount of inbuilt furniture, there isn’t much wall space left, and I prefer to have a couple of blank walls to give a sense of space.

I also do not like damaging the walls with nails or blu tac which sometimes may accidentally rip the paint off the walls. The easiest way is to prop framed art or photos on a shelf.

I wanted to brighten the shelves in my study with some framed art, the blue, white and grey theme of my study needed a splash of colour to give it more personality. The Sun Rays in My Eye framed art from Sunny Side SG was precisely what I needed. I really like the combination of colours and waves. The image of the sun also gave me a warm and vibrant feeling.

Framed Art of Sunrise

I was very impressed by Nia, who runs Sunny Side SG, and invited her to guest post on my blog, here is what she has to share with us.

Sunny Side SG is a one-woman online brand based in Singapore, started by Nia (that’s me!).

We are all about combining both aesthetics and sustainability in our products, including the way we pack and ship. Our first collection is our FSC-certified framed art prints, meaning that the wooden frames are responsibly sourced from sustainable forests!

And as our brand name implies, we are all about the sunny, vibrant colours & designs! For our framed prints, we make sure we use vibrant, biodegradable ink so you can easily liven up your walls with uncompromised aesthetics and sustainability.

We customised the designs in-house right here in sunny Singapore and also collaborated with other artists to bring trendy prints to life!

For the first time, we are also piloting a sustainable loop programme for customers from Singapore to put an end to packaging waste. We want to give consumers the power to reduce waste by sending our packaging materials back to us, at no cost to you!

We have more exciting collections (designed right here in SG!) coming up, so do follow us at @sunnyside.sg so that you don’t miss it!
Thank you for the support!

Thank you, Nia, for sharing about Sunny Side SG, I am still amazed about the concept of her store, I found it on Instagram and was hooked by her insightful post about decorating one’s home in an eco-friendly way.

I am glad to report that I received my purchase in a fuss-free and efficient manner, and the quality of the frame and print art was fantastic.

The shades of the artwork really popped from the blue background of my shelves.

An ingenious way of returning packaging to vendors-

Nia has devised a smart way of returning the boxes and packaging. Each order comes with a lovely card and a return label.

On the card, there is easy-to-follow instruction to return the packaging free of charge. What’s more, you get $5.00 off your next order.

All I had to do after scanning the QR code and filling in the details was to wait for a tracking number from Nia and write it down on the tracking number on the slip. Peel off the previous delivery label and replace it with the return label.

You can refer to her video on her website or Instagram account if you are unsure of how to proceed.

I had never thought that a simple solution of resuing the backing of sticker labels could reduce the wastage of cardboard boxes, indeed ingenious.

Smart Reusable Packaging

I look forward to seeing more unique designs and products from Sunny Side SG.

Decorating my home while having ease of mind knowing that the materials used are from a sustainable and eco-friendly source.

That’s such a good idea about returning the packaging, I don’t know why more sellers don’t offer this option. You chose some lovely prints too 🙂
